Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated and skilled team and help shape and deliver the future reward agenda at Hargreaves Lansdown. With responsibility across the full reward, pension and benefits agenda and a particular focus on executive remuneration, this is a high profile role, affording opportunities to engage with and influence a wide variety of senior stakeholders. The roleholder will need to demonstrate extensive knowledge of executive and equity pay as well as reward strategy and delivery, guided by business needs and market trends. The successful candidate will be expected to deputise for the Head of Performance & Reward as necessary, including attendance at board and executive committees. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Plan and oversee annual reward cycle Manage benefit offering, including core / flexible benefits, and SAYE Manage executive / equity compensation, bonus/incentive design and regulatory reporting Manage a small team of reward specialists ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Shape and implement the reward proposition to support business needs and reflect the market Plan and execute annual reward cycle in accordance with governance requirements and be guided by benchmarking and modeling as required Oversee the benefit offering, ensuring benefits meet business needs and are operated in accordance with policy and legislative requirements and agreed SLAs Support the RemCo cycle; act as secretary for RGC; oversee incentive schemes Manage executive and equity compensation, including fixed and variable pay management, operation of share plans and reporting requirements Ensure all reward regulatory and reporting requirements are met, including MRTs Manage, motivate and coach a small team; create and implement policies, provide reward technical advice and support projects as required Manage risks and controls associated with role responsibilities aligned to the risk framework EXPERIENCE / SKILLS Numerate and with extensive knowledge and experience of reward, pensions and benefits practice and strategy, together with market trends across the specialism Detailed knowledge of career architecture, benchmarking and role sizing Experience of leading and implementation of changes to performance, pay and benefit policies and processes Experience of managing executive and equity compensation in a regulated / financial services listed organisation Ability to manage and prioritise multiple time-sensitive projects and confidently influence senior stakeholders Ability to quickly and effectively build internal and external networks Strong leadership and management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills
