Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Manager to assist with the efficient and effective day to day operation. Main duties include: providing quality care to meet the client’s needs and outcomes. Undertake the direct supervision and line management responsibility of the domiciliary and live in care workers as detailed by the Registered Manager. Ensure that the care and support provided by care workers is of a continually high standard and supports the client in a person centred and strength based approach. Assist to maintain a safe environment and to make sure that clients are protected from abuse, or the risk of abuse, ensuring that their human rights are respected and upheld. Ensure all aspects of the company business is in line with CQC, the law and company policy and procedure. Report any crucial issues to the senior management team in a timely and effective manner. Principal Responsibilities: Attend and participate in training required under the Care Act 2016, and associated regulations. This includes the Care Certificate, mandatory training and training related to the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF). Undertake line management responsibilities for care workers as detailed by the Registered Manager. Ensure all safeguarding and protection requirements are adhered to and met. Ensure the effective implementation of the compliments and complaints procedure Liaise with health and social care professionals Deal with incoming enquiries and provide office cover Be a point of liaison for family, friends and advocates of clients. Attend and participate in staff meetings and any other meetings Undertake regular supervision and appraisals with carers. Ensure that the training needs of the carers are identified and met effectively. Complete daily record and medication Audits in a timely manner. Ensure regular spot checks of care workers are undertaken Supporting carers with shadow calls. Undertake new business appointments including assesments and care plans. Undertake regular reviews of client services including care plan reviews and amendments and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to. Actively participate in the growth and development of the business and work within agreed budgets. Actively participate with the recruitment and selection of staff and on-going staff retention. Undertake out of hours/on call duties (weekdays and weekends) on a regular rotational basis. Be able to undertake care delivery to clients at short notice or in times of need to ensure a consistence service is maintained by the company. Analyse reports as required and maintain monitoring systems. Work flexibly as required by the Registered Manager. Flexible working may include working day, evening, bank holidays and weekends, as required. Work in accordance with St Jude’s Care philosophy, policies and procedures Q ualifications and experience: NVQ Level 2 ( level 3 desirable ) in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) Working knowledge of the regulatory framework Previous experience of effectively working with health and social care representatives.
