Overview
Our client is a market leading specialist in the design and manufacture of bespoke steel beams for the construction industry.Having recently made substantial investment into new machinery at their Wetherby site they are seeking to fill a number of roles to achieve their future growth plan.We have an opportunity for a permanent Loader / Inspector who has experience within the structural steel industry including knowledge and use of overhead cranes. Working as part of a team you will be responsible for moving and handling steel beams using overhead cranes to load Flat Bed trailers.In addition to loading and despatching sections according to production schedules you will also carry out visual, dimension inspections from engineering drawings on fabricated steel ensuring relevant quality standards are met. Applicants should be a good team player willing to assist and help colleagues, with good verbal communication skills, be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work overtime when required.Previous experience in a Quality Control / Despatch role within the structural steel industry would be a distinct advantage. Hours: Mon – Thurs 07.00 – 16.45 Regular over time available paid at 1.5.
