Junior Front End Web Developer

My client have an exciting opportunity to join their digital team as a Junior Web Developer. You’ll work with their Client Services and Creative teams to understand their clients’ needs and objectives and liaise closely with them throughout project lifecycles. Things they consider essential for the role: Passion for what you do and a desire to learn Strong communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude Proactive, with a desire to continually learn and improve Attention to detail From an experience point of view, you should have: Previous experience of building websites A good understanding of HTML, CSS & Responsive Web Design Good working knowledge of WordPress development Ability to build custom templates An understanding of cross-browser & device testing, being able to diagnose & fix issues A basic understanding of user experience principles Experience of working with JavaScript Desirable but not essential: Experience of working with JavaScript Client frameworks Experience of working with Ecommerce platforms Knowledge of SEO good practice Day-to-day Responsibilities: Work with their Client Services, Creative and Development teams to create effective websites for their clients. Play a key role in the project life-cycle, from brief through to design and publication. Quickly and efficiently respond to support issues, updates and technical fixes. Testing sites, logging and reporting any required fixes. Ensuring all sites produced deliver great user experience. Ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations exceeded.
