Overview

Exciting business critical role to enable the delivery of strategic plans for profitable business growth, whilst at the same time ensuring continuous delivery excellence in customer service. The role acts as the single point of contact for all business manufacturing systems in use – dealing with issues and assisting queries as requested, providing either hands on development, coordinating escalations or outsourcing requests where necessary. Role responsibilities cover: · Identify and document manufacturing systems process improvements .Business Intelligence and MI Reporting · Work with end-users and management to gather requirements · Develop and test new features and processes in manufacturing enterprise systems · Support and develop system interfaces with internal and external systems and partner systems · Support and create reports from manufacturing systems · Play a pivotal role in new software rollout, migrating from legacy or manual processes · Provide second line support for manufacturing systems and software · Create and maintain manufacturing system documentation, processes, and procedures · Check software and interface logs as per agreed schedules identify problems and follow up with appropriate parties to resolve data inconsistencies accordingly. · Administer change management requests for business software, in accordance with change management protocol. · Provide systems training where required Criteria: - Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a technical subject - Pro-active and a problem solver. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Desirable Experience and skills: - Systems Analysis Experience - Manufacturing and / or logistics systems experience - Played a key role in systems projects - Understanding of relational database concepts - Understanding of Structured Query Language - EDI and system interfaces - Advanced Excel development This role is suited to someone who is a self-starter with a positive and proactive approach to systems improvement and development. A graduate in a technical subject such as computer science (or similar) looking for the next step in their career.
