Spares Technician

My client is a Global Leader in the Oil & Energy Industry and they are seeking to appoint a Spares Technician to join their team in Poole, Dorset on an initial long term contract of 6 – 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Spares Technician to be a part of a dynamic team and be responsible for executing spares orders, supporting the sales team and working with the supply chain and export departments. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely conversion of spares quotes Prepare and Issue quotations, spares list and orders to customers in a timely manner having due regard to commercial terms, pricing and lead times in line with department and company procedures and processes. Issue quotations to customers in a timely fashion, focusing on the customer’s requirements, commercial terms, pricing and delivery. Ensure that the supply chain has access to all necessary product information and technical detail to allow them to procure the goods and all lead times are realistic. Provide information and detail to the shipping and accounts department. Identify new business opportunities such as burner replacement, product upgrades and service requirements with existing and new customers. To improve customer relationship and work to develop long term relationships. Build effective working relationships with Sales, Purchasing and Export teams to ensure timely completion of orders and ensure order executions are performed in line with company and department policies and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely conversion of spares quotes Maintain a good working knowledge of the company’s ERP systems. Skills & Experience required: Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and ERP systems Experience with the sale of goods to international customers Able to read & interpret engineering drawings Apprenticeship/ College/ Degree level qualification in Science or Engineering or equivalent Good attention to detail & ability to communicate at all levels Summary Position: Contract Spares Technician Location: Poole, Dorset Industry: Oil & Energy Rate: £12 – 15/hr PAYE – (Umbrella & LTD rates available) Duration: 6 – 12 Months initially Start: ASAP To be considered for the position, applicants must be fully eligible to live & work in the UK without restrictions.
