Healthcare advisory associate solicitor - 0-4 years PQE HEALTHCARE SOLICITOR / ASSOCIATE - MANCHESTER Healthcare Advisory Solicitor / Associate - This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor of 0-4 PQE who is looking to develop their career in healthcare law. The role will sit in the Manchester office and is to assist an experienced Partner within the team. Healthcare law draws on various legal principles and areas of law including human rights, mental health and the Court of Protection. The team is looking for inquisitive and ambitious lawyers who understand the intricacies of areas of constitutional law such as Judicial Review and wish to be part of a leading national team. SUMMARY Job title: Healthcare Associate Location: Manchester Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 Reports to: Partner Previous Experience: NQ-4 PQE - NQs are being actively considered. Any experience of public law, especially areas such as judicial review would be an advantage as would experience of Court of Protection work and human rights. Excellent academics are also required. A LEADING FIRM IN HEALTHCARE LAW Our client has a well-established leading practice in healthcare law. They advise many of the key players in the sector including public and private healthcare providers on everything from day-to-day advisory matters to high profile inquests. Key areas of expertise relate to all matters surrounding patient welfare including patient complaints and Ombudsman investigations, often involving an in-depth knowledge on mental health law and human rights legislation. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE This area of law is often highly technical and complex and, in some instances, very high profiles. Our client is looking for gifted lawyers who have a sound grasp of the fundamental concepts of constitutional law and are genuinely passionate about healthcare work. They appreciate not all candidates will have had gained exposure to Court of Protection work or Judicial Review, or will have necessarily developed a full understanding of mental health law. That said, they are keen to attract bright and inquisitive lawyers who they can train and develop. A CHALLENGING AND EXCITING OPPORTUNITY This is an area that is as varied as it is rewarding.
