Overview
An Exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team here at Holme for Gardens . We are an individual family run garden centre, with a very popular cafe, on-site farm shop and 7 acres of beautiful RHS gardens, open to the public. We are looking for a Garden Centre & Retail Manager to grow and to achieve the business goals. Duties, to include: Daily management of operations and staff, with strong experience of leadership skills to motive and inspire the team. Ensuring a high standard of merchandising & displays with the vision of creating the best shopping experience for our customers. Have a passion for retail, by ensuring all stock is clearly and accurately priced and always looking fresh. Seek out new products. Drive sales forward. Manage budgets, update EPOS system, create staff rotas and oversee health and safety, staff training of existing and recruitment of new staff. Requirements: Experience in garden centre retailing or similar environment. Proven experience in management. Good knowledge of EPOS systems. Hard working with a hands-on attitude. Experience of Horticulture is an advantage but not essential. Key Benefits include, Good rate of pay, pension scheme and staff discounts. Full Time, 40 hours a week.
