Overview
We are currently recruiting for 2 Apprentice CNC Engineers for a company based in Willenhall, Wolverhampton You will be trained in all aspects of CNC Machining. This will be delivered by on site learning at the company along with day release at The City of Wolverhampton College. GCSE /Equivalent Maths and English Grade A- C (4-9) is essential Apprenticeship wage is £4.15 per hour and you will work between 30-40 hours per week including time off for day release. There will be regular salary reviews dependant upon individual performance. Duties will include: Producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control ( CNC ) machine ; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. set up, operate and adjust /edit equipment settings as applicable to the machine tool being used produce, prove and /or edit programmes when using CNC equipment measure and check components being produced and make adjustments to the equipment / programme to ensure components meet the required specification… During and on completion of the machining operations Machinists in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering sector are predominantly involved in highly skilled, complex and precision work, machining components from specialist materials using conventional and/or CNC machine tools such as centre lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, horizontal and cylindrical grinding machines, electro discharge machines, single and multi- axis CNC machine tools centres. The company was formed in 1985, since then there has been continuous investment in CNC production equipment and raw material stocks. They hold a wide range of finished machined components, and also raw materials for completion, such as bars, pipes, forgings etc. They have supplied products to destinations on every continent and supply through Stockholders and Distributors.
