Overview
The Company: Working with regional IFA firm based in central Huddersfield I am looking to speak to part-qualified Diploma, developing Paraplanners who are looking for that structured career development path into more technical work. This hire would be an additional head coming into a technical team of 3 paraplanners supporting 5 financial advisers - And offers a superb opportunity to technically challenge yourself in a HNW, complex-case environment. The business culture is family feel biased in a relaxed, yet professionally focused and client-centric working environment so would suit a qualified, or part-qualified paraplanner who has some hands-on, practical report writing experience under their belt and wants that structured pathway to develop quite quickly into more technically challenging casework. The Role: The role itself will sit within their technical team and work closely with 5 very high-performing financial advisers provide private clients with advice to help them achieve their financial goals. Specifically, the firm work extensively in the areas of investments and complex pensions within the 'at-retirement’ market space so there is a distinct bias towards this area of advice with several HNW private clientele part of their core portfolio. You will be heavily involved in client meetings and central to the advice being given, engaging on initial fact finds etc as required. Standard duties & responsibilities include: Checking of Fact Find Information to ensure it meets FCA requirements Assisting with the identification of demands and needs and possible solutions Checking assessment to investment risk and capacity for loss Carrying our research on existing arrangements Carrying out whole of market research on products meeting clients’ needs and objectives Ensuring supporting documentation and records meet FCA Preparation of recommendations and suitability reports Communicating with clients and providers The Person: You must be working towards the QCF level 4 Diploma and hold some hands-on, practical experience of working within an IFA/private wealth advice environment supporting advisers in a paraplanning capacity. This can be 6/12 months, but you must have been working in a role where research and report writing responsibility has been taken on.
