Mechanical Maintenance Technician £35,000 - £40,000 Continentals Gateshead We are delighted to be supporting a highly prominent Heavy Industrial manufacturer in the area. They are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the team after an internal restructure. A very fast-paced and demanding working environment the role is very hands-on and would suit someone from a similar background. A heavy Mechanical focus, the role will involve: Pumps Pneumatics Hydraulics Motors Gear Boxes CNCs Electrical experience is highly advantageous but not essential. Candidates from a Steel, Foundry or Aggregates industry would be of interest given the nature of the role. However, we recognise that there are highly transferable skills from the likes of Packaging, Automotive and Chemical Processing. All candidates must be fully Time Served with a Level 3 Qualification and a demonstrable background within a Mechanically biased role. An HNC or higher is not essential but highly desirable. This position is made up of a base salary, shift allowance and a production bonus. There are additional allowances for overtime and additional work. The role will initially be placed on a Day or 3 Shift pattern during the initial probationary and training period until you are signed off for shift. This time is indeterminate.
