Do you have a passion for developing and coordinating stimulating activities? If so then this could be the role for you We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, lively Activity Coordinator for our registered recovery focused service for 16 people with mental health needs, located in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. You will be part of a highly committed team which provides the delivery of a person-centred recovery and residential rehabilitation service for people with enduring mental health needs to strengthen both our staff teams and the quality of the service that we provide. Relevant experience and a genuine interest in working with adults with mental health needs is essential. The Role: To be a highly motivated individual who has the ability to develop and co-ordinate a stimulating and relevant range of activities for people with mental health needs. Creative Support develops activities in a collaborative manner ensuring that they meet both social and personal goals focused on improved client wellbeing, ensuring that co-production and consultation form the basis from which the program develops. To work with tenants, their families and the staff team to develop, review and manage a meaningful programme of activities. You will be responsible for consulting with all tenants to identify their needs, wishes, preferences, recovery goals and aspirations and to draw your findings into Individual and Group Activity Profiles. Be responsible for drawing up a programme of on site and off site activities for individuals and groups which meet their identified needs set out in Activity Profiles and for ensuring that these Profiles are linked to Person Centered Support Plans and Recovery Plans. Be responsible for regularly reviewing service user’s needs, wishes, preferences, recovery goals and aspirations and as such Individual and Group Activity Profiles. This will involve a significant amount or coordination and organisation alongside close working with other agencies to ensure that the program is fully inclusive. Be the identified lead person for supporting staff and advising them of the agreed activity programmes that you have identified. You will support and monitor staff progress in supporting tenants in activities and ensure that progress is recorded in regular review records accurately and robustly. Be an excellent communicator, warm, person centered, practical with a highly level of motivation. To research social and community activities, build links with the local community and to access resources and develop a local resource folder for staff and tenants to use. To develop opportunities for Volunteers within the service, to add value to the activities that you organise and lead in with the support of the Volunteering Team at Head Office.
