Overview
This fast-growing software organisation is seeking a C++ software engineer with the ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese. The software engineer will be joining a UK-based Agile software engineering team and collaborating with the wider team situated in Shenzhen, China. This business develops innovative technology that is re-inventing education across the globe. This is a full-stack C++ software engineering position where you will work across the entire software development lifecycle. You will also be the key liaison between the UK team and the team in China. This will mean communicating via confluence tools and translating during team meetings held over video and the telephone. The ideal software engineer will have experience with C++ and Qt but we will consider candidates with other OO programming backgrounds, such as Java, NodeJS, Python, Ruby, C# etc. Most importantly, you will be able to communicate clearly and confidently in Mandarin Chinese. Requirements: Must be able to communicate clearly and confidently in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Ideally, experience with C++ and Qt but experience with other OO languages will be considered such as Java, NodeJS, Python, Ruby, C# etc. This role includes two days of remote work and flexibility around working hours.
