Overview
Bruckshaw Associates are recruiting a hands-on varied Accounts Assistant vacancy for our Stroud based, family run client. Working in the picturesque market town of Stroud this opportunity will see you joining a market leading manufacturing company with a global reputation for quality and unrivalled standards. Reporting in to the Financial Controller this is an all round accounts assistant position in which you will be maintaining all the day to day responsibilities of the accounting function. Reporting into the finance manager your main duties will include but not be limited to: Bank reconciliations and statements. Create and amend supplier monthly payment runs. Maintaining the sales ledger, run credit reports. Credit control Purchase ledger, posting supplier payments, run creditors list and send additional payments via BACS and cheque. Experience and team fit: There will be elements of working alone in the role and you will need to be a self starter, who can manage their own workload, work independently when required. You will need to a good understanding of Excel and other MO functions, experienced user of Sage or a similar package. You will need be a confident communicator dealing with suppliers and different teams within the company. A welcoming and supportive team who often engage in small social activities such as team lunches, and yearly get togethers. With this in mind it is important that the chosen Accounts Assistant is a genuine team player who would look to come in and support the wider business as well as the accounts function.
