Lead Registered Nurse / Unit Manager / Clinical Lead (Cover Night shift hours per week £2.00 per hour enhancement for hours covered over contract) If you enjoy helping people and want to make a difference in their lives, this job could be just what you are looking for. Right now, we are actively hiring for a professional and experienced Clinical Lead / Lead Nurse (RGN / RMN) to cover full-time day shift hours per week for one of our leading Care Home. The home caters 62 residents and offers Nursing and Residential care. We care for people those with Dementia & Old Age. Facility & Services we offer are Palliative Care, Respite Care, Convalescent Care, Alzheimer’s Care, Cancer Care, Stroke, Bipolar/Manic Depression, Cerebral Palsy, Colitis & Crohn's Disease and Separate EMI Unit. Qualifications and Skills Active NMC Registration / PIN Satisfactory CRB / DBS checks Experience / Qualification in care for relevant client category (Elderly Care) Staff Supervision & Team management Benefits Highly Competitive rates of pay (£16.87 hourly) £2.00 per hour enhancement for hours covered over contract) Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme Excellent training and support Established, Reputable, Forward Thinking Employer Your Job: In collaboration with the Home Manager, you will be required to contribute toward achieving the highest possible standard of care, through direct nursing care and effective supervision of Staff Members. You will also be required to take management responsibility for a shift as directed. Responsibilities and Duties To take charge of the operation of night duty ensuring all shifts are covered, supervision and training of staff To promote independence & improve mobility of residents for your specific unit or department To lead, motivate and mentor your staff team, deliver guidance, training and development opportunities to ensure work practices are safe and conform to standards Monitor the quality of care offered by staff/team members Act as a link between nursing staff and home management, and respond to questions or complaints from patients or family members. Investigate and develop solutions to correct the issues that could be discovered - such as patients not responding to treatment or developing complications Provide a second opinion to staff members about a patient’s treatment, and in difficult cases review a patient’s file or take over his care Carry out regular checks on Clients at intervals determined by the Home Manager Ensure that Clients’ Care Plans are completed and maintained and are in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy Administer prescribed medicines and document them in accordance with the Company’s procedure and NMC guidelines To ensure the correct ordering, storage and administration of drugs in accordance with client’s requirements Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Client within the Care home has an individualised Care Plan & Client Care Plans are reviewed as required Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary To participate, promote and engender the quality culture of Handsale Care Group by adhering to Quality Assurance Systems If you are a qualified Clinical Lead / Nurse Team Leader & want to be part of a growing organization, this could be your next long term role.
