Quantity Surveyor

You will be working for one of an award-winning house builder within the UK Your new company You will be working for one of an award-winning house builder within the UK as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. With over 60 years as one of the leading house builders, they provide a structured environment resulting in massive success. They currently have just under 10 developments within the Birmingham area, all varying in size. What you need to succeed Experience preparing, submitting and agreeing all Final Accounts in a timely manner that achieves best value for the Company. Secondly you will need to be able to prepare the submission and agreement of any contractual claims as requested. Be able to take timely and proper action (e.g., notices) in accordance with the contract/sub-contract. Construct and Submit detailed, accurate and timely interim applications for payment. The knowledge to check that all sub-contractors are procured to the programme and that agreements are robust to achieve best value. Experience to support and advice to site team with contractual matters where possible. Finally Ensuring in conjunction with the Managing Surveyor, that the risk mitigation strategy is effectively managed. What you'll need to succeed: Degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred Good knowledge of contract conditions and law within the Construction Industry Excellent organiser with proven time management skills Excellent communication skills Experience in housing is desirable but not essential.
