Plumbing and Heating Technician

Plumbing and Heating Technician - Coventry - 6 months contract Your new company Our client, a leading high education in coventry is seeking an experienced and qualified heating technician to join their sucessful team for a 6 months contract. Your new role You will be assisting in the routine maintenance and critical response of all plumbing and mechanical building services, including heating/ventilation and all associated equipment. You will respond to each job request via a notification system. You will ensure all these jobs are seen through completion, including the arranging of materials. Typical works may include replacing fixtures and fittings such as taps, sinks, and pipes, replacing showers, shower heads, trays and baths, fixing any leaks, unblocking drains, installing washing machines, tiling and sealing baths, assisting with replacing heating systems, changing drive belts and bearings on AH units and other equipment. You will also complete PPM to thermostatic mixing valves and water cooler dispensers, undertake Legionella testing and water monitoring checks. What you'll need to succeed You must have a recognised qualification in plumbing / ACS for Gas, and proven practical experience. You should ideally have experience dealing with high volume reactive calls and have dealt with them in an efficient and effective manner. What you'll get in return In return you will receive a starting salary of £22500. You will also receive 30 days holiday pro rata bank holidays. You will be working locally and not required to travel like many maintenance roles. You will also receive regular pay reviews, and learning vouchers to support your development.
