Overview
Our client's award winning Patents team, which has acted on a number of landmark cases over the years, is now looking to hire a junior to mid level IP/ Patents Associate. The IP / Patents work will primarily be contentious, although there may be the opportunity to do some non-contentious work if desired, and will involve playing a key role on a range of High Court patent litigation and pre-action advice to clients, typically in the life sciences, electronics/telecoms and mechanical/engineering sectors. A scientific academic background is a pre-requisite for this role. A large proportion - preferably at least 50% - of post-qualified applicants' IP experience should be patents work. If newly qualified, junior Associates must have completed a dedicated seat in their training firm's Patents group. Junior lawyers in the Patents team, and indeed through out the firm, are given the opportunity of a high degree of client contact and an active role in business development.
