The day job Currently looking for an Application Discovery and Packaging Analyst to work on a major secure UK security client site, joining a small team to help manage the end to end Apps packaging delivery and rollouts of bespoke security products. You'll be challenged with piloting aspects of release management, as well as coordinating test scripts, execution, and results analysis, for some of the most cutting edge applications Sopra Steria have in flight. You will own the interface between application requestors and packaging engineers, as well as the day to day service management tooling queue - an ideal opportunity for someone with service delivery experience to step in to a multi-vendor complex environment alongside defence system industry experts Essential skills Vocational/Diploma/Associate Degree (technical field) or relevant experience in a related field Experience in end to end management of desktop application packaging requests and ongoing lifecycle management to include: Discovery, Packaging, Integration, Testing / UAT, Release Knowledge and experience with ITSM/ITIL V3 Reference model Administrative experience of Windows to a level required to perform application installation and configuration Awareness of application packaging methodologies and techniques used by application packagers Security Clearance It is essential that you are eligible to obtain and hold DV Security Clearance to work in this position Reasons why you should apply to us We’re big - really big.
