Production Readiness is accountable and responsible for ensuring examination requirements are set up and translated to our processing and marking systems. As a Production Readiness Engineer you will be part of the Production Readiness team, delivering configuration and quality assurance of examination set up. You will be working closely with various business teams during the set up process for both paper based and on screen examinations. The quality assurance delivery is based around operational readiness of examinations in terms of processing and marking. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for providing a secure product delivery, ensuring results are accurate and on time. Examination Set up/configuration against business requirements. Validation of examination requirements through staging environments. Collaborate with Developers, Project Managers and Support teams in the delivery of Projects into our staging environment. Responsibilities of defect management - Document, coordinate and validate resolutions across the spectrum of defect types within Production Readiness. Pro-active coordination of resolutions, taking the lead in driving through the analysis, implementation and validation. Service ‘Go live’ responsibilities, migrating Examinations and Project Changes from a Staging sign off into Production. Working in a high pressured environment where Examination delivery milestones cannot move. Interfacing with offshore resources within a global company. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements: Understanding and compliant with quality assurance procedures – ITIL certification in a Testing discipline is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail is essential. Ability to focus on time-consuming detailed tasks. IT proficient. Able to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills with an IT environment. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is beneficial. Understanding and experience of ‘Agile’ deliveries is favuorable. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
