Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Manchester Your new school The Manchester based Secondary School are looking for a Maths Graduate who is looking for classroom experience within a school. If you are an aspiring teacher thinking of embarking on your PGCE or want to make the most out of your degree, this Maths graduate role is the perfect opportunity for you to kick start your career. Within the school the staff are supportive and welcoming therefore an ideal environment for you to flourish. Your new role Working alongside the classroom teacher with ages 11-16. You will be assisting in day to day responsibilities such as, helping plan and prepare classes, aid behaviour management of pupils, 1:1 support for low ability level pupils, 1:1 support with SEND pupils and generally promoting a safe and fun learning environment within the school. This will give you invaluable Teaching Experience and an excellent opportunity to utilise your degree; by supporting students with your specialist subject to achieve their academic goals. The start date for this role will be in line with government guidance for the schools reopening. What you'll need to succeed A passion for helping children to achieve their full potential is essential. In addition, previous experience of working with children ages 11-16 in an education or childcare environment is essential you will need a minimum of 2 months' work within the past 2 years. All candidates will either need to hold a current and valid DBS certificate registered with the update service or be willing to make an application for a new enhanced disclosure.
