Expand are looking for an Embedded Test Engineer to help in the integration of the next generation of mesh into broadband products (i.e STB, CPE router/gateway, Wifi Extenders). The primary purpose of the Wireless Test team is to ensure the quality wireless CPE, both in-life CPE and new product development.This is facilitated by the detailed understanding and testing of the wireless performance of said devices.Testing is performed either in isolation, or in direct comparison to competitor / industry CPE. Any concerns / issues or variances must be accurately diagnosed, verified, understood and communicated back into the business – with any relevant ‘call to action’. This role supports all WiFi businesses and all its operating companies to deliver WiFi solutions for the technology platforms while working in a high pressure, and business critical environment. This includes direct day-to-day remote and on-site contact with numerous stakeholders across the company as well as international 3rd party suppliers and within the Wireless Performance team itself. The successful candidate must be a logical thinker, be able to work in a fluid delivery environment and be a subject matter expert in their field, with >3 years Wi-Fi test experience.The successful candidate will take a lead role in the CPE test and quality process, both directly (via their own deliverables) and indirectly (via the greater Wireless Development team’s deliverables). As such you will : · Ensure the wireless quality and performance of all legacy, prevailing and developing CPEs. · Fulfil the role of ‘subject matter expert’ for wireless technologies and wireless. · Act as an integral part of the Wireless Engineering team, helping it achieve key deliverables required to meet business goals. · Ensure wireless technical changes and performance are tested to an agreed time, cost and quality. · Support all CPE test activities as directed by the team / Manager. · Support direction and uniformity across projects and workstreams including processes, standards, documentation, test methodology, etc. This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89924725
