Overview
Laundry Assistant based at The Martins, Bury St Edmunds Available Hours: Permanent - Part Time - 5 hours per week Shift Details: Every other weekend Would you like to make a positive contribution to benefit older people? As part of a dedicated team, you will wash, dry, iron and repair laundry items for residents. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, but your respect for older people and willingness to undertake training is more important. If a suitable candidate is appointed the role may close early, therefore please do not hesitate to submit your application. The Martins was completely rebuilt in 1999. The original home was one of twelve built or adapted by MHA during the 1960s. This was a period in which possibilities for new homes were emerging throughout the country, while the organisation's income meant that it was well able to respond to the enthusiasm for such facilities. Nowadays, The Martins stands in its own grounds, with many en suite rooms looking on to the historic Abbey Garden ruins and the River Lark.
