Cook Location: LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, SL4 4AY Hours: Working 5 days out of 7 covering hours between 06:00-23:00 Remuneration Package : Competitive Salary pension, holiday and Merlin Magic Pass – 20 free tickets to our attractions. At LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort we are on the hunt for experienced and talented cooks to join our Hotel Food and Beverage team at an exciting time of transformation at the UK’s favourite children’s theme park. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children aged 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland. At the heart of the accommodation experience are three LEGO themed family restaurants which are currently being reimagined to include new concepts of a BBQ grill style high-volume buffet, premium gastro-pub experience and a lighter a la carte bar based dining as well as room service provision. We are now looking for skilled individuals who can support our vision of creating exciting, destination appropriate, excellent quality food consistently for our guests of all ages. What the job of a Cook will involve To assist as directed in the presentation and service of food and to maintain close liaisons with the Food & Beverage service team to provide the highest standards of food and service to our guests. Establish and maintain strong communication links with the Food & Beverage team and with other departments across the hotel and resort. Inspire excellent food production delivery and presentation at all times; using recipes and menu cards where appropriate. To liaise with Kitchen team members to check on a daily basis the business and menu requirements for guests. To maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, fire and food safety Share your ideas and experience to improve the efficient running of the Kitchen areas and Food & Beverage department whilst maximising delivery standards and cleanliness. Develop an interactive and unique style of food service that is tailored to each guest and their individual requirements. We are looking for the following skills and experience: Will be able to prepare, cook and present foods to meet company specifications Have previous experience working as a Chef or Cook within a similar high volume buffet, gastro-pub, or branded high-street operations Will have a strong understanding of food health & safety – maintaining consistently high kitchen cleanliness standards at all times Be knowledgeable of stock management and ensuring all processes are followed correctly Have a fantastic work ethic and able to work well under pressure Possess great communication skills with a positive working attitude Bring a flexible working approach to accommodate breakfast service, dinner service and weekend working.
