Overview

Our client based in Peterborough are currently looking for a Contract Front End Software Engineer to join their growing team within an exciting time in the organisation. This role will play a key role in supporting the teams and development of a range of specialist bespoke applications, embedded systems with the opportunity to work on some interesting technologies within the Big Data space, whilst also having the opportunity to build a mixture of web-based and mobile applications and integration work. Working within the Projects Development team you will have the opportunity to use your expertise in supporting and delivering solutions across all aspects of the business needs and planning them into a technical solution, while working with the teams to ensure that coding practices and software build is of a high quality. You will work closely with Solution Architects to build prototypes and POCs and then Lead Development within the team, mentoring other Developers where appropriate. Skills & abilities we are looking for; Excellent working knowledge of C# and .Net framework/.Net Core. (essential) Excellent working knowledge of Angular (Essential) Full stack Developer with good integration experience of database and web based applications. Front end / web based language experience such as Javascript, JQuery, AngularJS, Jasmine etc. Must be competent in back end database integration work, with a strong working knowledge of SQL Server. Must be competent and comfortable with OOP principles. Development experience focused on device communications in an embedded, process automation or engineering context API development/Driver development Have ability and experience to mentor and support other members of the development team Experience of working with Architects and other Technical Leads to plan and execute robust technical design of systems would be beneficial in this position.
