Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a specialist care provider, who is seeking an Area Manager for a number of residential services in South Yorkshire. They provide care to people with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. The services are at times challenging and it is both an operational and strategic role. Salary: £ 60,000 You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations the adult residential provisions and positively support the Registered Managers in contributing to the development of an effective care team. You will positively oversee and add value to the continued growth and development of the provisions and ensure that the care teams provide the people we support with a care and support service which is appropriate to their individual needs. You will have excellent communication skills and have experience in negotiating with key stakeholders as well as strong commercial acumen. You will be required to carry out regular audits and inspections in line with the quality audit system to ensure highest standards are maintained at all times. You will work closely with the Registered Managers, building positive working relationships, carrying out regular reviews and supervisions. Key skills and Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of what constitutes good care management practice and meeting the individual needs of young adults with severe learning disabilities and complex needs who may challenge the service You will have operational experience of working in the adult care residential sector and experience of managing multi-site performance would be advantageous. You will have proven success in demonstrating service improvement recognised by the Regulator and up to date knowledge of CQC and Care Standards.
