Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Development manager for a newly created position with a leading software company in central Norwich. This leading software specialist has seen exceptional growth in recent years, and is fast becoming the 'go to' name within their sector. Recent acquisition sees them aligning with a data analytics company, integrating their solutions to create a powerful suite of end to end management software that helps clients grow and manage their business through greater efficiently, flexibility and data governance. The role: Reporting to the IT Director, you will have autonomy in leading and managing a distributed team of multidisciplinary technical professionals in an Agile methodology. You will be responsible for deliverables, processes and performance to ensure the highest quality of products through the management of the full SDLC. Responsibilities include: Leadership of the distributed team, ensuring engagement in projects and timescales are adhered to Develop and implement processes and best practices in the team Lead on Agile methods, including resource planning, ceremonies, review meetings etc Act as mentor to coach members of the team, developing training plans alongside L&D to ensure everyone has an appropriate PDP Deliver reports to the exec on progress, an steeping up to cover the IT Director during periods of absence Assist in the recruitment and on-boarding processes for new starters Demonstrate flexibility and commerciality to deliver within a fast paced environment Desired experience: Managing the SDLC through Agile (SCRUM/Kanban/Lean) Completing risk analysis, work estimates etc Knowledge of .Net or Java technologies (previous hands on experience is an advantage) Strong leadership including 121's, objective setting, performance management etc Knowledge of SaaS and cloud technologies - AWS is preferable If you are an experienced Dev Manager, with a proven track record of developing efficient and effective software teams then this role would be for you.
