Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) / Transfer Station (TS) Operative based at our Mavis Valley Transfer Station in Bishopbriggs, working 45 hours a week. What will you be doing? Joining our team, the HWRC / Transfer Station Operative will assist in the management of the Clyde Valley TS & HWRC sites. You'll ensure that facilities are always operated effectively using best possible practices regarding Health & Safety and Company Policies. You will coordinate the day to day transport movements within the transfer station & HWRC operation in order to meet Company and legal requirements and to maximise safety and efficiency. The successful HWRC / Transfer Station Operative will provide site operational requirements by dispensing your duties as described by the Contract Supervisor. This will include but not be limited to litter picking and other manual handling duties. What do you need? Good knowledge of Transfer station & HWRC operations Ability to recognise different types of waste streams Experience of controlling traffic movements Experience of working with waste and mobile plant. Able to carry out instructions and requests from management with accuracy and efficiency Full driving licence Good self-discipline and time keeping What can Viridor offer you?
