Warehouse Supervisor

WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR – UCKFIELD Full time role – 39 hours per week Salary - £20,000 per annum Our clients are specialists in the engineering and manufacture of integrated washroom hygiene systems, based in Uckfield. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join the existing team working within the Goods-In Department. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Goods-In Warehouse Team are motivated and efficient in effectively planning and fulfilling their duties in a timely manner ensuring that Health and Safety standards and PPE requirements are met and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is adhered to. Good written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy are essential in order to liaise closely with the Warehouse Manager and provide reports as requested. You will be required to liaise and communicate effectively with colleagues throughout the company as well as with suppliers and delivery drivers as required. It is anticipated that candidates should have at least 2 years’ warehouse experience and the following skills are also required: Experience in supervising a team; Be practised in manual handling; Hold a counter-balance forklift licence and have experience of loading and unloading trucks; Have experience of a stock control system; Knowledge of goods-in processes. It would be desirable for candidates to hold an articulated forklift licence and/or a driving licence which covers category C (truck of 7.5 tonnes) although these are not essential. The Warehouse hours are Monday to Thursday 7.45 am to 4.15 pm and Friday 7.45 am to 3.15 pm and overtime hours are worked as needed. The successful candidate should be a team player who is enthusiastic, reliable and hard working, able to delegate and oversee the running of a busy warehouse to ensure timescales and productivity are maintained to a high standard.
