DT (Resistant Materials) SEND TEACHER

This is a rare opportunity to join a vibrant and well-run SEND school in East London. Students are supported by an experienced and talented team of specialist staff who work in close unison to ensure a tailored education for each student. Students participate in a wide range of lessons including science, Food, ICT, PE and various school trips to local attractions. This role would suit an experienced Secondary DT Teacher who has previously taught in a similar setting. Applicants must have previously taught Resistant Materials and be comfortable working with machinery stipulated under the DT curriculum. ASDAN/Pathways knowledge and work within an SEN school setting would also be advantageous. There are 8-10 students in each class therefore the successful candidate will need to be comfortable teaching across the DT curriculum. Students have mixed and complex needs, therefore physical restraint training, ASDAN experience and other relevant SEN qualifications are ideal but not essential requirements.
