Overview
Here at N Brown we are recruiting a Test Lead to work across squads, within the technology team. You will be working in a squad based Agile team, responsible for supporting the Tech Lead in the delivery of testing sprints/iterations/projects or releases. We’re looking for an experienced, technically savvy Test Lead with an aptitude for leading projects and developing colleagues, capable of setting up best practice approaches to testing and quality for the squads. If you’re forward thinking individual and have sprint planning experience, we want to hear from you We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate evidence of ideas/technologies they have suggested that have been spiked/ implemented/adopted by the team and who is comfortable liaising with different squads, teams and product owners. As Test Lead you will be responsible for: - Defining, owning and maintaining test plans and estimates across multiple sprints, squads and tribes - Defining, owning and maintaining the test approach at a squad/tribe level. - Ensure right levels of resources have been secured to support tasks through the execution of appropriate risk-based testing. - Create project test strategies and approaches to ensure agreed coverage and approach ensuring that they are in line with the Organisational Test Strategy. - Being the single point of contact for project managers regarding any aspect of testing within that tribe. - Working with a QA approach to ensure continuous improvement in the efficiency of testing through increasing the levels of automation, re-use of plans and scripts and effective reporting and defect tracking. - Management and Leadership of our internal colleagues and test partner to successfully deliver testing of solutions to time, cost and quality along with demonstrable leadership skills that support our colleagues and behaviours aligned to our values. - Ensuring that any risks regarding testing within the tribe are documented and highlighted to the relevant parties and taking ownership of those risks to an agreed resolution. What experience are we looking for? - ISEB/ISTQB testing qualification and practical application (Foundation to Practitioner). - Demonstrable experience of managing multiple test streams within a portfolio/set of releases/tribe. - Proven ability to define input to and understand test strategies and approaches that encompass the full testing life cycle. - Experience of working on business transformation programmes, with experience of defining and managing a variety of test strategies and approaches in a range of technology environments including mission critical 24x7 Applications. - Excellent understanding of the testing lifecycle, phase testing objectives, entry/exit acceptance criteria, Risk-based approaches to testing cycle definition. - Experience of HP Quality Centre/Jira/TM4J and/or other test tools. - Experience of Automation would be an advantage, ideally HP UFT/Selenium/Appium. - Supplier management skills developed in an IT environment using internal and external resources.
