Overview
The Opportunity Transformation Manager - Hosting. This is an unusual opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure professional to become an integral part of the Digital Policing Department within the Metropolitan Police . This highly sought-after position will have real-world effects, helping to protect the lives and communities of everyone in London. You will work to define technology and service roadmaps, and lead the migration to a simplified services landscape, enabling future change. You will benefit from a generous annual leave package, Civil Service pension, brand discounts, flexible working and more The Role As Transformation Manager, you will be accountable for the "big picture" oversight for the design and implementation across a number of key suppliers. You will be responsible for the service design, planning and introduction of infrastructure service capabilities across a number of service areas including Hybrid Cloud Hosting, xAAS, Platform Services Modernisation and Data Centre Services. Reporting to the Head of Data Centres & Hosting, you will maximise the understanding, utility and value of the various agreements and contracts in the Hosting and Data Centre function, and ensure the consistent implementation and adoption of infrastructure services and the adherence to architectural principles, policies and processes. The Required Skills and Experiences The successful Transformation Manager will be commercially astute, with demonstrable experience working across a broad range of infrastructure and technology including servers and storage, virtualisation, networking, disaster recovery, cloud architectures and operating models. You will have a good understanding of supplier management processes, complex performance management regimes and incentive mechanisms. The ability to troubleshoot existing or proposed solutions and designs and recognise issues, obstacles and concerns early in the lifecycle is a must, and you will have proven technical experience gained in a complex and varied environment. An excellent communicator, you will have no trouble interacting and influencing stakeholders, building collaborative partnerships and relationships both internally and externally, and reporting to individuals at all levels of seniority.
