Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Air Traffic Engineer to work for our prestigious aerospace client based in Yeovil, Somerset on a permanent basis. As a member of the Air Traffic Engineering department, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and upgrade of all ATC systems. This primarily includes VHF communications, Navigation Aids, Radar and Aeronautical ground lighting. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited too: - To maintain competency and recency in all areas of the role and complete training as required - To maintain high standards of aviation safety, quality and abide by all safe systems of work as per the Company Safety Management System. - Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of Aerodrome systems including maintenance of AGL Control and Monitoring Systems (ACMS), CCRs and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will have a HNC/HND/ Degree or equivalent in Electronics - You will ideally have at least an HNC in Electronic Communication Engineering or equivalent with experience as an Air Traffic Engineer. Alternatively the post-holder may have undertaken recognised structured electronic engineering training and/or transferable qualifications, skills and experience within a similar profession.
