As a React / Front End Tech Lead you will: - Provide end-to-end Senior Technical Leadership to the relevant squad(s) whilst contributing to the strategy and build of the wider Engineering practice in IT. - Lead squad code development in an Agile delivery structure, influencing wider development standards. - Work closely with all squad members including Product Owner, Scrum Master, developers and testers to ensure best practice development. - Lead Agile ceremonies - two week sprint planning, show and tells, retrospectives and delivery, contributing to optimizing the squad’s way of working. - Own code quality and tech debt including ensuring all code written is of high quality, performant, maintainable and all processes are automated and repeatable. - Monitor continuous integration using Jenkins and/or Gitlab including the Release Pipeline and quality process. - Work with the wider Engineering leadership team to transform squads into a DevOps model. - Proactively resolve technical issues within the squad and other squads whilst looking for continuous improvement opportunities from an operational process perspective. - Liaise with guild of other squad Tech Leads to ensure a standardized vision and approach to engineering across all squads within BIT. What experience are N Brown looking for in a React / Front End Tech Lead? - Experience in developing high quality, scalable and efficient web apps at an enterprise scale, with a solid understanding of the full software development cycle. - Front end development including React, Javascript, node.js, Next using common design principles including SOLID. - Complete technical proficiency in React / JavaScript development with extensive experience consuming and/or designing and building Microservices, within an Agile environment. - Though not essential, experience of Full Stack development is beneficial including Java, microservices, API gateways, Docker / Kubernetes, Spring Boot and containerisation. - Able to maintain the highest standard of code quality, unit tests, code coverage – SonarQube or similar. - Experience working in or building a scalable DevOps environment.
