Delivering business success through our people Our Dalehead Foods division is pleased to announce a key and exciting opportunity at our Spalding site. Multi-skilled with electrical and mechanical qualifications, but with an electrical bias background (certification evidence will be required) as well as experience of breakdown and preventative maintenance, the successful candidate - working with the Engineering Team Leaders and the wider engineering team - will work on 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6pm until 6am permanent nights) ensuring production targets can be met by providing the appropriate technical support. The successful candidate will be highly self motivated, have enthusiasm for achieving exceptional results and be able to work effectively both on their own initiative and as part of a wider team. They will also have experience of working with sophisticated meat processing and packing equipment and a clear understanding and awareness of legislative, health and safety and environmental requirements, ideally gained from a similar food processing environment. An understanding of continuous improvement would be an advantage enabling the successful candidate to work with the engineering team to drive the change from a “reactive culture” to an “proactive culture” by enhancing equipment performance and reliability by coaching and developing technical skills and knowledge in the maintenance teams. A formal engineering apprenticeship and relevant academic qualifications to suit your experience is essential for this role as is proven hands on mechanical and electrical experience.
