Evergreen's recent shipbuilding program to expand its fleet has already deployed several new containerships with the latest marine technologies which were adopted for quality transportation service and for sustainable development of marine ecology. Evergreen Marine has an exciting opportunity available for a Shipping Clerk to join the team based in Felixstowe. Working on a full time, fixed term contract basis to cover maternity leave. Responsibilities of the Junior Shipping Clerk: Deliver outstanding customer service Ensure efficient and on time movement of import/export cargo Input bills and cheques for daily banking Merchant haulage release of import containers Arrange and release of line haulage deliveries Inform customers of haulage non-conformances Distribute invoices for all local charges Requirements of the Junior Shipping Clerk: GCSE level or equivalent Team player, friendly, can work under pressure Good attention to details Experience of a shipping/logistics or office environment Some experience of destin8 and CHIEF export systems will be an advantage Must have legal rights to work within UK, without sponsorship If you feel like you meet the above criteria for the Junior Shipping Clerk, then please apply now Starting salary is negotiable and will depend on your level of qualifications and experience, please advise your preferred salary range.
