Overview

We are seeking a .NET developer responsible for building .NET web applications using the Microsoft stack. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these layers of our applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, elegant design, and an eye for quality is essential. Responsibilities • Translate User Stories into functional web applications • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization Essential Skills • Strong knowledge of .NET web framework (ASP.net webforms or MVC) is a must • Proficient in C# • Comfortable building HTMLCSS web pages, supported by Javascript/JQuery • Familiarity with clientside frameworks (Bootstrap, Angular, etc) desirable • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server - designing schemas, writing T-SQL Stored procedures, and writing efficient queries • Fluent knowledge of ADO.net data access • Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application • Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds Desirable • Experience of designing and writing unit tests would be desirable Benefits • Free weekly fruit delivery (healthy living) • Private medical cover • Death in service cover • Competitive pension • 25 days annual leave bank holidays
