Herts Good Care is a non-profit company, supporting adult care providers across Hertfordshire to fill their permanent positions. We are currently working with The Lodge Care Home to find a Night Care Assistant to join their team. Job Shift: Nights, Evenings and Weekends Location: Hemel Hempstead Type of Provider: Care Home (Residential) Assisting older adults living with Dementia Salary: £8.80 week days and £9.20 weekends Per Hour Hours of Work: 36 - 3 night shifts per week Driving Required: Yes Contract Type: Full Time Contract About the company Our 45 bedded care home is a tastefully converted and extended Victorian house situated close to the centre of Hemel Hempstead. The home offers the very best that contemporary care homes have to offer, coupled with a warm and caring atmosphere. The home provides care for elderly residents & offers several types of stay depending on the level of support required - from long-term residential care to short stay and respite breaks. The home offers a safe comfortable environment for residential clients and for older people who may be living with the early stages of a dementia. What does the role of Care Assistant involve? Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: To ensure the home is safe and secure throughout the night. Support residents with all aspects of personal care, whilst promoting and maintaining independence. To ensure that all night documentation is completed and signed for. Please Note: this is a waking duty. You are expected to perform either care duties or assist with cleaning duties throughout the duration of the entire night shift.
