Overview

The Systems Engineer -Naval Weapon Systems will be involved in the full design and development lifecycle of Weapon Systems, from concept through to in-service support. The role provides the Systems Engineer - Weapon Systems the opportunity to work on primary development projects, major sub-systems contracts and interface with both customers' and suppliers on technical issues. The role will see you carry out a range of activities such as, but not limited to; Requirements Specification and Design - carrying out a full range of technical analyses and investigations, preparing specifications and developing designs. Systems performance analysis. Systems Architecture design. Systems Validation - including certification and design verification. Flow-down of system requirements to subsystem requirement specifications. Define and maintain design justification record providing linkage from system requirements to subsystem requirements. Development of system-level test sequences. Experience / Skills Ideally degree qualified or equivalent. Adaptable approach - taking into consideration existing constraints in design proposals. Team Player, capable of working with others from various disciplines to reach a consensus agreement. Experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment; from requirements capture/approval through to proving planning and certification. Experience of system studies including design trades, performance analysis, telemetry data analysis etc. Desirable Good understanding of system engineering processes. Weapon system knowledge.
