This is a very unique opportunity for a senior C# ASP.NET SQL technical developer to make a huge difference to people's lives working on our innovative secure video application which helps families with children in Paediatric units. If you love technology for good, want to be a big part of a small but exciting team and relish the flexibility of working from home then read on … vCreate is an NHS Trusted Secure Video Messaging service primarily used to enable nursing teams to send videos to families when their child is in a Neonatal or Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. The system provides reassurance and helps minimise separation anxiety, keeping the family connected at an extremely difficult time. Parents can share the videos with extended family and download them when they leave the unit to keep forever. We are approved in over 85 hospitals in the UK and Australia and have plans to localise the application to expand further. On a side note, we also have an extremely exciting and ground-breaking (but secret for now, shhh) clinical AI project underway in which you will play an absolutely key role more on that as we progress. We are a small team with what we (and parents using it) think is an amazing product and are getting very busy. This is a hugely important hire for us and will form the basis of what we hope will become a substantial technical team delivering our award-winning innovation to healthcare institutions across the globe. Time to talk skills then. We are a Microsoft house with the service running on Azure. We’re looking for plenty of experience across the full stack in C#, ASP.NET, SQL (solid working knowledge, you don’t need to be a full-on DBA), Azure and of course the usual suspects such as JavaScript, JQuery and HTML5 . A genuine interest in machine learning is a must and any actual experience in the field would be what we would only describe as a bit of a result However, as it will be very clear from your experience that you have more than enough of the right skills to do the actual job, we’re equally (sorry no, more) interested in your personal philosophy, ethics and principles. We believe that technology should be for good and everyone here strives to make a difference every day so we need someone that is motivated by helping people, not just the cashola. We want to know about any projects you undertake outside of work such as volunteering, group membership or maybe even that bonkers idea you once had to change the world … we love that stuff We’re willing to pay between £45-50k per annum for the right person plus private medical (for the whole family btw) and other benefits. Although it’s a work from home role, we meet regularly so you'll need to be able to reach Windsor/London relatively easily.
