TicketmasterInternational'sB2C Product team advocates for our customers, setting the vision for our growing family of services, As we scale new geographies, and consolidate on a single web platform, we aim to simplify and enhance the fan experience and create delightful products that are a true value add for our customers. The Consumer Services & Mobile team within the B2C group at Ticketmaster International, drives the development of internal and public APIs for 16 markets across Europe, Middle East and Australasia. THE JOB As the Technical Product Manager for API, you will have an extensive and exciting area of influence: Drive the strategy and development for TicketmasterInternational's new 'ShoppingAPI' platform. You will work with product managers, engineers, designers and architects with a focus on API services to power the entire purchase flow - from event discovery through to checkout and ticket access. You will be the subject matter expert for APIs, define requirement drive development through multiple products and engineering teams located in Serbia, Canada, US and UK. As we plan to integrate services into internal products you will regularly consult business and technology stakeholders to help manage deployment, support and monitor services, and report on performance. You will help plan the roll-out strategy for public APIs, manage documentation, and provide guidance to developers working for our clients, affiliates and partners. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Understanding the needs of external customers and internal clients, in order to build out a backlog of work and a roadmap of features prioritised based on business value delivered Writing epics and stories with acceptance criteria, producing wire-frames, process flows or other supporting materials as necessary to ensure functions are fit for purpose Collaborating closely with architecture and engineering to design and carefully document overall system flows, integration points, and API endpoint request and responses Driving consistency and quality across product delivery streams by outlining appropriate standards, creating API best practice guidelines, and continually reviewing deliverables Working with programme and project management to define a break-down of work, order of delivery and dependencies between teams, and monitor progress Analysing and reporting on API uptime, response times and error rates, as well as business performance of service, reflecting on successes and identifying areas for improvement Supporting other product managers, market sales and account management teams with training, presentations, or fielding client, affiliate or partner queries as needed WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in Business or Computing disciplines Experience in product development and maintenance of e Commerce transactional websites and apps, and ideally highly trafficked sites Background in product management or business analysis in a senior role gained over a minimum of 4-5 years ideally in a medium-large multinational organisation Understanding of technical architecture of complex and highly scalable platforms and applications, along with working knowledge of RESTfulAPIs YOU Technically fluent, you understand how your products get built end to end and can use that knowledge to work with engineering partners to make smart decisions Strong communicator, you are as comfortable presenting to a large stakeholder group, as you are writing a detailed specification or discussing work with engineers Natural collaborator, you thrive working in cross functional teams and do not shy from the challenge of solving complex business problems with different colleagues Analytical thinker, you are able to dive into a requirement and always use data to make smart decisions, including trade-off of features versus time-to-market Problem solver, confidence to identify issues but also generate ideas and investigate solutions, evangelize a preferred approach and follow through execution Flexible, you are able to switch context in your work based on shifting priorities, as well as take an adaptable approach to working hours and be willing to travel
