This Global Organisation require an individual to lead their Strategic Intelligence function which combines external Market Intelligence and internal Business Intelligence in order to develop and deliver strategic and tactical insight. You will have an exciting opportunity to lead your team in shaping and delivering the next phase of the development of this Strategic Intelligence capability, both centrally and globally to enhance profitable and sustainable growth Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of the vision, strategic direction, roadmap and supporting Technology for Strategic Intelligence (SI) within the global business in order to drive increasing value-add Create and deliver strategic and tactical level insight into the business that enhances sustainable and profitable growth Strengthen the competitive position of Sales businesses by providing integrated market intelligence, business intelligence and relevant analytical / Business Intelligence tools that leads to actionable insights in uncovering growth opportunities Undertake macroeconomic analysis and benchmarking that provides the business with geographic, sector outlooks and market share analysis that underpin strategic planning and growth plans to help stakeholders make sound decisions based on solid analysis of internal and external data that provide insight regarding interpretation of data and trends Analyse and monitor competitor dynamics, trends and determine implications to be presented to senior management Lead and develop the strategic understanding of megatrends and report its impact and opportunities to senior leadership Provide sector specific environmental scanning and analysis in support of target sector strategy Provide deep customer insight relating to needs, pain and gains to support specific growth opportunities Own and manage the global non-financial sales application and data, including data collection, data management and data quality together with technical development of the application Lead the continuous development and provision of high quality regular sales reporting, develop new reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insight and support users in their strategic and tactical decision making process Work collaboratively with key stakeholders within the Business Development community to inject insight and add capability in support of the corporate strategy and global portfolio of growth programs Provide an advisory service to senior leaders across the global business and develop the SI Communities to drive the adoption of SI best practice Define, lead and project manage major Strategic Intelligence, Market Intelligence and Business Intelligence projects that produce highly insightful findings that are instrumental in driving business change Develop and manage key partnerships with external providers for the provision of market research, data and services Lead the development, management and continuous improvement of SI systems, applications tools and analysis Profile Proven strategic thinking and extensive experience of the generation and analysis of market intelligence within an international B2B environment Deep understanding of market intelligence together with highly developed analytical and strategic thinking skills Strong knowledge of sales related BI applications and of how to leverage BI data Proven ability to turn data and information into actionable insight that adds real value and helps drive business growth Ownership and development of MI/BI systems, applications and tools including selection and management of key partners Leading the analysis of sales related BI data and blending this with MI data to provide strategic insight Ability to translate complexity into clear messages that are impactful and inspire action Ability to work collaboratively in a complex global organisation Ability to exert influence, inspire and engage at senior levels Leadership, management and development of high performing teams Willingness to undertake some international travel as require Educated to degree level or equivalent in a business related subject or in engineering with subsequent training in business or marketing.
