Overview
Our client is a market leading designer and manufacturer of electro mechanical products for medical and scientific sectors across global markets. The company has an immediate requirement for a RoHS Compliance Contractor/Consultant to advise the company on RoHS compliance in relation to selling the company’s products in China. As the company’s RoHS Compliance Consultant you will naturally need to have a full understanding of all matters relating to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances compliance in respect of electrical, electronic, electromechanical products, ideally in the China region. You will be involved in a variety of activities including the setting up of compliance documentation, databases, etc. Key responsibilities will include: - China RoHS marking of product range in compliance with regulations. - Contacting all suppliers to obtain RoHS declaration. - Introducing compliance mark ("e" mark or EFUP mark) on product label and packaging. - Generation of database. - Creation of EFUP table according to Standard SJ/T11364-264 if applicable. - Introduce a system to systematically update file. Applicants should have prior experience/appreciation of dealing with China RoHS and EU RoHS. Specific length of contract currently not known but likely to be at least 3-6 months.
