They're currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the team due to an internal promotion Client Details Our client based in Farnham, Surrey is a highly successful business with operations across the UK. They're currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the team due to an internal promotion Description As an Assistant Accountant based from the Farnham, Surrey office you will be responsible for: Job Purpose To prepare management accounts for a minimum of 2 companies (Training provided if needed) Overall responsibility for two purchase ledger clerks and sales ledger clerk Support other members of the team and other areas of the business Ensure any issues are dealt with in a timely manner Responsible for producing the management accounts (profit and loss account, balance sheet and cashflow forecast) for review by the FD , including but not limited to: (Training provided if needed) - Statement reconciliation - Bank reconciliations - Accruals and prepayments - Variance analysis - Responsible for the balance sheet reconciliation - Assist with year end audits Other Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure that the sales and purchase ledger meet the daily, weekly and monthly targets Process and post direct debits into all companies Reconcile specific Bank Account's Fixed asset control for including posting monthly depreciation charges Adhoc projects including departmental project work and business process reengineering Profile You don't have to have expereince producing management accountant on your own training will be given Some experience in management accounts or a good understanding is desireable Good opportunity for someone looking for a step Not essential but desirable that you will have some kind of supervisory/management experience but it doesn't need to be a lot and can have been just overseeing one person. Double Entry Bookkeeping Basics of Accruals & Prepayments Ideally studying towards an accountancy qualification but not essential Job Offer Salary £26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience and good benefits please apply for more details
