Adult Support Worker

We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers in the Shirebrook area of Derbyshire. No experience is required as excellent training will be provided, this role is much more about your personality and life skills. You could be joining an established provider of Supported Living services who support adults living with Learning/Physical Disabilities and Mental Health conditions to live independently in their own communities and lead fulfilled lives. I will help her first thing in the morning with her routine, giving her the choices for breakfast, deciding what clothes she wants to wear that day and letting her decide what music we listen to whilst we tidy up and do household chores. This sounds simple to some of us, but these decisions are big for Melanie. She also loves a special trip out to theme parks, but crowds can scare her, and she gets anxious. I help Melanie get ready to go, decide what she needs to take with her, reassure her and explain things to her in a way she will understand.
