Overview

Care Assistant Sapphire HR are currently recruiting for Care Assistant’s to assist our clients across the North-East in continuing to provide the highest standards of care and reassurance to vulnerable adults within Newcastle/Northumberland. As a Care Assistant you will be responsible for being a first responder to ensure that shifts are covered when existing Care Assistants are unable to attend due to self-isolation. Within, the Care Assistant role you will be directly involved in assisting the Social Care System in providing an integral service during these difficult times. The ideal Care Assistant will have access to their own transport (or ability to travel within your own community/local area) and have a flexible approach to work. Shifts will include evenings, early mornings and weekends and you will be passionate about providing high-quality care and assisting the company in achieving its aim of promoting the independence of its service users for as long as is reasonably possible. As a Care Assistant you will be deemed a “key-worker” and therefore, child-care will be provided by Local School’s should you require this to allow you to work. As a Care Assistant you are also provided with a company mobile phone, full training and competitive mileage rates for the use of their own vehicle/reimbursement for public transport expenses. Both contracts and casual work are available. Responsibilities (Care Assistant): 1. Attending all shifts as scheduled and sometimes, at short notice as required; to allow self-isolation of existing employees and prevent the spread of infection. 2. Ensuring the care is carried out in accordance with each service users Care Plan. 3. Preparation of meals, in line with nutritional requirements. 4. Building excellent interpersonal relationships with all clients. 5. Personal Care. 6. Ensuring Care is delivered in line with Health and Safety requirements. 7. Ensuring that all records are completed in a timely and accurate manner. 8. Ensuring that all training is kept up to date. 9. Acting in accordance with the client’s policy, procedures and values always. 10. Promoting the independence of all of the client’s service users. 11. Ensuring that you comply with Infection Control Policies and Procedures at all times. Person Specification (Care Assistant): 1. Caring Nature 2. Flexible Approach to Working. 3. Keen Learner. 4.
