Overview
Position: Cable Assembly Technician Salary: £10.40ph minimum – Temp to Perm Location: Worthing Beacon are looking for an experienced Cable Assembly Technician for a Market leading high-tech company based in Worthing. Main duties: • To be able to read schematics and assembly drawings • Plan and execute assembly, electrical or testing tasks • Provide suggested improvements to schematic and operational procedures • To produce quality electrical, fibre and hybrid cable assemblies and testing in accordance with specified requirements • To continuously develop skills in the termination of electric and Fibre Optic connectors in order to assist with the evolution of the cable assembly service. • To test cable assemblies to ensure that the customer's specifications are required under supervision You will have several years’ experience of working within a manufacturing environment with experience in mechanical assembly, point to point wiring, wire run lists, cable & harness, torque tools, crimping tools, soldering, computer aided testing and ESD practices. You will be able to work to very high-quality standard with excellent attention to detail with the ability to read technical wiring diagrams and good problem-solving skills. The package: Hours: 8am -17:00 Monday – Thursday and 8am – 13:00 Friday Wage: £10.40 minimum Excellent working environment with a state-of-the-art modern purpose-built factory. This Cable Assembly Technician position is also commutable from Havant, Waterlooville, Cosham, Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Brighton, Hampshire & West Sussex.
