Software Engineering Lead with experience of leading/mentoring a team and is strong technically is required to join our ICIS brand in our Sutton, Greater London office. Key Responsibilities will be: - Successfully lead large onshore and offshore resources in solving complex business needs. - Perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed. - Complete management responsibilities to include performance management, hiring and coaching of staff, and resource planning. - Coordinate the production of advanced complex software and serve as a senior source of expertise. - Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions. - Lead the development of technical standards, and perform reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed. - Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources. - Recommend technical strategy and direction across functional area. - Participate in development and evolution of architecture. - Provide design input across a product. - Work directly with customers and end users. - Proven knowledge and experience in project planning and management tools to manage project progress, budget, and scope. - Experience leading multiple development teams. - Experience in code reviews and development approaches. - Expertise in industry best practices in offshore partnership development. - Proven ability to lead test-driven development and maintenance. - Industrywide or broad companywide technical knowledge. - Track record of developing solutions to be deployed in cloud environments, preferably AWS. Required Skills Essential: - Excellent technical leadership, communication and presentation skills. - Agile Software Development, Scrum. - Ability to engage and liaise with stakeholders across all functions. - Implementation, integration and management of complex solutions (distributed, multi-platform, multi-technology). - Excellent problem-solving ability including leading teams to identify, research and coordinate resources to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues. - Advanced organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, and advanced delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity. - Strong experience of .NET. - Experience of on-premise, virtualisation and cloud based infrastructure using Amazon Web Services, AZURE and ideally .NET Core. - Strong skills in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving business objectives and goals through the direct management of others.
