About the Facility At The Harley Street Clinic, we provide a range of complex care services for adults, children and babies, specialising in oncology, cardiology and neuroscience. From open heart surgery on new-born babies to pioneering techniques to treat cancer, our clinicians work together to provide the best possible care and treatments for our patients. Our staff always go the extra mile in caring for our patients which can be demonstrated by our recent outstanding rating awarded by the CQC. We have separate paediatric and adult intensive care units (ICUs), and our paediatric ICU is the largest private facility in Europe, with 18 beds. This allows us to support cardiology, cardiac, thoracic, cancer, spinal and other major treatments for children. We have 103 beds in total, including nine adult ICU beds offering the highest level of one-to-one care Job Description To Manage the day to day running of the Outpatient and Diagnostic services within TPrC working closely with the facility departmental leads to ensure effective support that enables the continuous growth and success of the services and business operations. The Centre Manager will be required to demonstrate robust clinical leadership, managerial skills and operational direction, in order to provide a seamless package to all the service users and associated personnel. Duties and Responsibilities To achieve the Centre’s departmental targets for productivity and utilization Continuing responsibility on a 24-hour basis for the effective management and progressive development of a high quality, and customer responsive service To liaise with Consultant medical staff and other clinicians in the provision of the service. Develop working relationships which act to enhance, recognize and respond to the service’s changing needs To be responsible for the development of key initiatives to maximize productivity i.e. workforce planning, National service frameworks and Guidelines To be responsible for ensuring best practice is adhered to always by all departments. Ensure all departmental leads formulate and monitor the annual clinical workforce plans, ensuring integration with the business planning cycle. To manage the departmental leads in offering guidance and support on financial, operational and professional issues, ensuring consistency throughout the Centre Ensure that all departmental leads take an active leading role in demonstrating a commitment to the application and evaluation of current research findings within your sphere of practice Ensure clinical practice is supported by best evidence. Skills and Experience Registered General Nurse- 2 years management/Senior nurse experience minimum Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Outpatient environment Degree or Diploma in Nursing Substantial nursing experience in a wide range of specialties’
