Senior Software Engineers - Edinburgh Harvey Nash is excited to be working with an award winning and market leading communications software company as they look to add a number of Senior Software Engineers to their Edinburgh team. They're based in a bright, open plan office very near the idyllic Meadows area of the city, so if you're thinking of making a change before the end of the year this could the opportunity for you. About the role: Our client works in a highly collaborative way, with a lot of inter-office communication using some of their cutting edge in house technology. They believe in creating high performing teams of around 5/6 and have an excellent graduate recruitment programme, which leads to a vibrant and enthusiastic office. The successful candidates for these roles will come in with some professional experience and act as mentors for the more junior colleagues, as well as bringing considerable development expertise. There are several teams based out of the Edinburgh office but the bulk of this recruitment will see you get involved with one of the firm's flagship products, a best in class telecomms system used by clients across the globe. About you: We are looking for someone who can come in and push the product forward, being involved in the full development lifecycle. The product is written in C so we would ideally like anyone coming into the business to have worked with this in their recent past, or be using in in their current role. Moving forward new products and enhancements are going to be written in Rust so if you have some exposure to this, or C++ and Python, we would still like to hear from you. In the "nice to have" section it would be great if you could demonstrate some knowledge of Linux based systems or a background in telecommunication software.
